Photography & Nature

Our annual Garfield Park Conservatory photography contest is one of many opportunities our students have to combine art and natural landscapes. During the cold January winter we like to bring the Green Team into the city for some warm indoor fresh air (this year it was 55 degrees, so  we got a little bit of everything). All students spent the morning exploring and documenting, ultimately submitting one photo for the contest. Submissions are voted on anonymously by classmates to determine a winner. That winning photo will be printed, signed by the artist, and framed to be displayed in the school. Exclusive Peaks believes in using art to create a voice for nature. Our students develop that voice by incorporating photography and film-making during  our field trips and programs. This year's winner will be determined and announced next week. Stay tuned for original student artwork.
