Drones & Gardens
Utilizing technology to rehabilitate our natural landscapes is vital. "Drones and Gardens" is the Exclusive Peaks Foundation's initiative to use drone photo, video, topographical mapping and, eventually, 3D printing to analyze open spaces in order to design efficient and sustainable outdoor classrooms. The image above is the Gurrie Middle School garden in La Grange, IL. That heart in the middle are my students during one of the Gurrie Green Team's "Summer Sessions" featuring Eric Rejman's original documentary and photography. Each Exclusive Peaks garden will have four "Drones and Gardens" flyover events per year, or one per season, to document the ever-changing outdoor classroom.
