Conservation artist
I am an artist armed with a background in cultural anthropology whose career led to filming with the National Park Service. As a result of working with the National Park Service, I won “Best Environmental Documentary” at the Canada International Film Festival. Through this experience, I’ve developed a keen sense of nature conversation and understanding the role of art and science to create a voice for nature. I am also a University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener.

Co-FOUNDER
Teacher
I am an eleven-year veteran middle school reading teacher and believe in conservation education. A classroom project led to my 8th graders receiving substantial grant money given to build a garden six years ago. Alongside mentorship from Northwestern University, our garden and school “Green Team” was established. Our garden has continued to evolve and summer programs have also included cooking and pickling workshops with local restaurants and kitchens.
