Winter Sowing

Linda Walker of West Cook Wild Ones presented an engaging workshop on winter sowing at Sequin Gardens in Cicero, IL. Sequin Gardens is an organization that employs and empowers adults with physical disabilities. Together they provided a unique and engaging environment to promote "winter sowing" of milkweed and other native plants. We'll be implementing some of Linda's expertise this winter in all of our gardens. It's our mission to make sure our native gardens have plenty of healthy milkweed and nectar plants for monarchs to munch on.
