UIC Memorial Garden 2017

This summer we'll have the opportunity to build a native garden at UIC Children's Hospital in honor of all the beautiful children that have passed away this year. The UIC Memorial Garden Committee is dedicated to creating green spaces to honor these children. This year they've decided that butterflies are the perfect symbol for perseverance, transformation, and hope. We agree.

With the help of Linda Walker of the West Cook Wild Ones we were able to get 38 native plants and milkweed that we'll add to their existing space at the end of May. The memorial will be held in August and will be a beautiful tribute to the children that have passed.
