Hibernation Celebration

This past November Buckledown Brewing in Lyons, IL hosted Exclusive Peaks for our Hibernation Celebration fundraiser. An evolution of Eric Rejman's art exhibition Exclusive Peaks, this is our third annual celebration at Buckledown. Due to generosity at the event, our foundation was realized in December. 

The event was kicked off with original artwork by local eighth-grade student Nina. This talented artist created a coloring book outline of a monarch garden on a chalkboard for guests to fill in as the night went on. Nina is collaborating with Highlands students to create another communal art project for our gardens. We believe in young artists creating a voice for nature and Nina is doing a great job. 

The night also featured a special beer tapping of Buckledown's Hibernation Ale, live music from Doug Shotwell as well as Any Old Wind, and plenty of milkweed seeds for all. We'll continue to bring our mission to unique local businesses to share the vision with great music, beer, food, and people.
